The origin of the brand
The name of the trademark Kleynod derives from the German word Kleinode and Polish word Kleinote meaning treasure. Kleynods are special signs of state power, symbols of the power of the hetmans of Ukraine.
The most famous Hetman’s jewels were a mace, a pernach, and a bunchuk. The jewels symbolized the victory and glory of their rulers, their wisdom and special status. Also used in regalia and as decorations during celebrations and holidays.
Kyiv Watch Factory is the first and only Ukrainian enterprise engaged in serial production of watches. It was founded in 1997 in Kyiv.
Brand establishment
In November 2002, for the first time in the history of Ukraine, the plant began manufacturing watches under the Kleynod brand.
The production program of the plant was started by a watch dedicated to the space flight of the first cosmonaut of independent Ukraine Leonid Kadenyuk.

The watches are hand-assembled on the basis of reliable Swiss Ronda and Sellita movements, stainless steel cases (grade 316L) with IPG gold plating, they pass the 4-level principle of technical product control and have a 36-month warranty.

Today, Kleynod has more than 30 points of sale in Ukraine: a showroom in Kyiv, an online store and stores of trading partners.
Since 2016, entering the international market, the watches are presented in Canada, the United States, Poland, France and the United Kingdom.
From september 2024, all automatic watches are assembled on the basis of the Swiss movement Sellita SW-200/1.
The brand’s corporate clients are state organizations and the largest companies in Ukraine. More than 200,000 watches have been produced under the Kleynod brand in 17 years. Among the owners of watches are many famous people from show business, heroes of Ukraine, politicians and others.
